Fudo is a free Android app that helps parents check food labels against their child’s allergen list. This page explains, in plain language, what the app collects, what it does not collect, and how to remove your data. There is no legal padding here. If anything is unclear, email the address above.

What we collect

That is the complete list. If it is not on this page, Fudo does not collect it.

What we do not collect

How analysis works

When you scan a label, the app sends the image together with your child’s allergen and sensitivity lists to our server. Our server forwards that image and those lists to Google’s Gemini API, which returns the result. Your child’s name is never included in that request. Google’s API terms govern their processing of the image during that call.

Each scan is one request. There is no background scanning and nothing runs without you tapping the button.

Where your data lives

Accounts, child profiles, and saved scans are stored with Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL provider. Access is restricted per user at the database level, so an account can read only its own records.

Fair-use limit

To keep Fudo free, each account can run up to 40 scans in a 24-hour period. The app tells you if you reach the limit. This limit is counted per account and resets automatically.

Deleting your data

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Delete account. This removes your account, every child profile, and every saved scan immediately and permanently.

If you no longer have the app installed, email vermarishab1235@gmail.com from the address on your account and it will be deleted within 7 days.

Children

Fudo is a tool for parents and guardians. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and it will be removed.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Access to the database is limited to the account that owns the records. The AI provider key is held on our server and is never included in the app.

Changes to this policy

If anything on this page changes, we will update the text and the date at the top. We will not change what we collect without saying so here first.
